England striker Harry Kane has revealed his delight at becoming just the second men’s player in history to reach 50 goals for the Three Lions, whilst also targeting the all-time goalscoring record.
The Tottenham forward racked-up his half-century on Tuesday evening by finding the net from the spot in England’s 1-1 draw with Germany in Munich. He sent Manuel Neuer the wrong way having also won the penalty following a foul by Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck.
The referee did not initially give the spot-kick but the VAR recommended a second-viewing at the monitor, with the decision then eventually being given. Kane of course stayed cool to score and rack-up his 50th international goal.
