Harry Kane has quipped he may have Alan Shearer sweating as the Tottenham star sets his sights on breaking the Newcastle United legend's record and becoming the Premier League's all-time top scorer.
Kane currently sits in third place behind Wayne Rooney and Shearer on 195 goals, but the England skipper is the only active player in the top 10. Although Kane still has to score another 65 goals just to draw level with Shearer, you would not bet against the striker breaking the record if he stays put in the Premier League in the coming years.
Shearer, himself, will recognise that and the 52-year-old joked earlier this month that Kane 'needs to go to Bayern Munich. We need to start a campaign!' When asked if he had Shearer sweating, Kane could only laugh.
