Liverpool could soon be making their third summer signing as Jurgen Klopp looks to continue strengthening his squad.
Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have already arrived at Anfield, sending out a statement of intent to the rest of the division, and there is hope among supporters a third midfield addition could be made.
The Reds' rivals have been less busy in the market to date, though Arsenal are closing in on two high-profile deals that will give them every chance of competing at the top end of the table once again.

Arsenal
Arsenal have apparently made five players available for sale as they aim to offset their summer spending.
The Gunners are close to completing deals for Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber, expected to cost a combined £145million, which will see the former become their club-record signing.
Sky Sports have explained Folarin Balogun, Nicolas Pepe, Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Cedric Soares are the transfer-listed individuals, with Balogun expected to generate the largest return. It is suggested there is 'huge interest' in the striker, who Arsenal value at £50m.
Manchester City
Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal are believed to have informed Manchester City they are willing to pay £60m to sign Bernardo Silva this summer.
The Portuguese winger has come close to leaving the Sky Blues on multiple occasions in recent years, though this could finally be the transfer window the former Benfica man decides to move on.
Al-Hilal are prepared to offer Silva a yearly wage of £42m, according to CBS Sports, a deal far more lucrative compared to his current City contract. It is added the 28-year-old has four options available to him: Al-Hilal, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona or penning a new deal at City.
Manchester United
The Red Devils have reportedly set a £50million price tag for Harry Maguire as they look to offload the England international this summer.
Maguire has gradually fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford due to below-par performances and is no longer a starter in the first-team under Erik ten Hag's system.
United are therefore looking to recoup some of the £80m spent on the 30-year-old in 2019 and are seeking an ambitious figure of £50m, according to Manchester Evening News.
Newcastle United
Eddie Howe's side may look to offload Allan Saint-Maximin in an attempt to fund a move for Leicester City star, Harvey Barnes.
Saint-Maximin started only 12 Premier League games last term and has seen his place as a guaranteed starter in the side gradually shift amid the Magpies' growth in spending power.
This could now result in the Frenchman being sacrificed to support Newcastle's summer spending, with the Telegraph stating the 26-year-old is valued at £40million. Interest has so far said to have been shown from European and Saudi Arabian sides.
Tottenham Hotspur
New Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has stressed he wishes to keep Harry Kane at the club, despite ongoing speculation the striker will leave the Lilywhites this summer.
Bayern Munich are understood to have launched an improved offer worth £70m for the forward in recent days, having seen their opening bid of £60m knocked back.
Outlining his stance on Kane, Postecoglou told reporters: "Kane is one of the premier strikers in the world and I want him involved here. I just want to introduce myself to Harry, give him my vision, get an understanding from him over what his vision is and try to be successful. My conversation with him will be about how we can make this club successful and there is no doubt that is what he wants as well."
Depending on the outcome of the talks and transfer interest, Kane may no longer be a problem for Liverpool and the rest of the sides in the Premier League should he seal a switch to Germany.
