Prince Harry and Meghan are said to be "stunned" after being told that they had been evicted from Frogmore Cottage in Windsor to make way for Prince Andrew.
It's reported that King Charles decided he was moving the Sussexes out of the estate because of their frosty relationship with other members of the Royal Family.
This all comes after Harry released his memoir in January, which heavily criticised his stepmother, Camila. Meghan and Harry also starred in their controversial Netflix documentary last year, reports The Mirror.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now said to be arranging for their items to be removed form their UK home ahead of Andrew moving in to the property.
It's claimed they were told it was needed for "someone else," according to Omid Scobie, one of the authors behind the biography of Harry and Meghan.
He told Yahoo: "It’s news, sources tell me, that has left Harry and Meghan stunned, and at least two members of the Royal Family 'appalled'."
A royal insider told The Sun: "This surely spells the end of Harry and Meghan’s time in the UK.
"Andrew is resisting the idea of moving into Frogmore Cottage after he was offered it last week. But it shows Harry and Meghan are powerless to stop the eviction."
He also claims that a source says Harry and Meghan have been given until the summer, after the Coronation, to retrieve their belongings after initially being told they would just be given two weeks.
And quotes a friend of the couple as saying: "It all feels very final and like a cruel punishment. It’s like [the family] want to cut them out of the picture for good."
Frogmore Cottage was gifted to Harry and Meghan by the late Queen after their wedding back in 2018.
The property was redesigned into one home, having previously been five separate properties for staff working on the Windsor Estate.
The whole renovation cost a whopping £2.4million and the property is thought to have five bedrooms, a kitchen, a sitting room and a nursery which was created for the couple's first child Archie.
The Sussexes only lived in the cottage for six months before they stepped back from their roles and relocated to California. They repaid the cost of the renovations.
