The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, are visiting the UK for the second time this year, following their Platinum Jubilee visit in June.
Earlier this summer, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, visited London to celebrate the Queen’s jubilee and to introduce her to her great-granddaughter, Lilibet.
Before the June celebrations, Harry hadn’t been to the UK since July 2021, while Meghan hadn’t visited since 2020.
Now, the couple are returning to Europe to attend charity events in the UK and Germany.
However, it is unclear if Harry and Meghan will meet the royal family, following Meghan’s interview with The Cut magazine in which she said it “takes a lot of effort to forgive” about her exit from royal life and that she upset the royal family’s dynamic “just by existing”.
Find out below what we know about their trip, including when and where they’re visiting.
When are Harry and Meghan visiting the UK?
Reports suggest that Harry and Meghan touched down on British soil on Saturday, but a spokeswoman for the couple declined to confirm their arrival.
Where are Harry and Meghan visiting?
The couple will attend The One Young World Manchester Summit on Monday, September 5.
The Duchess of Sussex is a counsellor for One Young World, alongside Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, chef Jamie Oliver, and entrepreneur Richard Branson.
She is expected to give a keynote speech at the opening ceremony.
They will then attend the Invictus Games One Year To Go ceremony in Düsseldorf, on Tuesday, September 6.
The sixth Invictus Games, which Harry set up in 2014, will take place in September 2023 after being delayed due to Covid. Now, Harry will attend Düsseldorf to mark one year until the next event.
Then, on Thursday, September 8, the Sussexes will attend the WellChild Awards ceremony in London, where Harry is set to make a speech.
Who will Harry and Meghan visit?
It is unclear whether Harry and Meghan will visit the Queen or other members of the royal family.
The couple have not announced any official appearances with the royal family nor have they revealed if they will be meeting in private.
Despite meeting the family in June for the jubilee celebrations, tensions may be high following Meghan’s claim in her interview with The Cut that the couple offered to continue as working royals in a Commonwealth country and earn their own money to reduce the “noise” about them, but were not allowed to do so.
The Sussexes renewed their lease on Frogmore Cottage – near Windsor Castle – earlier this year, while the Cambridges – William and Kate – will be moving to Adelaide Cottage in the Windsor estate.
The Queen made Windsor Castle her permanent base earlier this year, while Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank currently live at Frogmore Cottage.
Other members of the royal family live nearby: Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex are in Bagshot Park, Princess Anne and Prince Charles live in Gloucestershire, and Prince Andrew lives at Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
