After they sensationally quit as senior working royals, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have signed several big money deals to keep up their status as being "financially independent".
However, o ne of their biggest business deals to date came to an end last week - despite Meghan once calling it a "labour of love".
It was confirmed that their £18million deal with Spotify was over after the streaming giant revealed it would not be renewing Meghan's podcast Archetypes for a second season. The podcast's first season featured guests including tennis ace Serena William, TV star Paris Hilton and pop sensation Mariah Carey.
The mega-bucks golden handcuffs agreement was one of the largest signed in history for a newly formed podcast show.
So with this deal now done, where else are Harry and Meghan getting their money from now?
Netflix deal
One of the most lucrative deals that Harry and Meghan have signed since quitting royal duties is with Netflix - it is unknown exactly how much the deal is worth but it has been reported it could be worth $112million.
Their controversial docuseries simply titled Harry & Meghan was released last December and has since become the streaming giant's second most-watched show.
They've also fronted a series called Live to Lead about inspirational leaders and it is believed a documentary will be released this summer called Heart of Invictus about Harry's successful Invictus Games for ex-servicemen and women.
However, it has not all been plain sailing for the couple with Netflix as last year it emerged a project Meghan had been working on with the company called Pearl had been axed.
Meghan had been due to be an executive producer on the project alongside David Furnish, with Pearl following the adventures of a young girl who found inspiration via influential women throughout history.
The cartoon had been announced in 2021, with Meghan saying at the time: "Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges.
"I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history. David Furnish and I have been eager to bring this special series to light, and I am delighted we are able to announce it today."
However, it was canned amid a series of cutbacks made by the streaming giant last year.
Publishing millions
Along with Netflix, one of the couple's biggest income streams has been from their publishing deal, which saw Harry release his controversial memoir, Spare.
It has been reported they have signed a four-book deal, which according to MailOnline is worth £16million.
In the UK alone, 750,000 copies of 'Spare;' were sold in the first few weeks after its publication. Harry has donated some of the proceeds from the autobiography to charity.
Meghan also wrote a children's book called The Bench, which was inspired by a poem she wrote for Harry shortly after son Archie was born.
It is unknown if Meghan received an advance for the book, but a branding expert told MailOnline an advance could have been worth £500,000.
Harry's job
In March 2021, Harry revealed he was taking a job with a San Francisco-based start-up whose app uses a 'Tinder-style' system so users to scroll through and 'match' with counsellors and life coaches.
Harry is the "Chief Impact Officer" at BetterUp, which provides employee coaching and mental health assistance.
In his new role, Harry helps to promote mental fitness and expand BetterUp's roster of coaches and customers, among other duties, a company blog post said.
He's also appeared in several promotional videos for the start-up as well as being the keynote speaker at a conference arranged by BetterUp.
The company's chief has kept his lips sealed on the sum paid for his celebrity hire.
However, a US-based apps investor, told the Mirror the royal's star appeal to clients could bring handsome compensation of £500,000 to £2million a year "at a minimum" including salary and equity
Start-up investments
In 2020, Meghan enlisted the help of Oprah Winfrey to help sell a vegan brand of coffee she had invested in.
The Duchess backed the firm Clevr Blends – a start-up that makes instant oat-milk lattes – as she reportedly "begins to build a portfolio of startup investments". However, the value of the deal is unknown.
The business plans to use the investment to scale its business, which currently sells four different kinds of instant lattes retailing for £21 per packet. Customers buying a pack also get a milk frother and a travel mug.
The brand also donates one per cent of its revenue to food poverty charities in the US.
Earlier this year, Meghan appeared in a promotional video for the brand, where she was described as its "first investor, advisor and biggest Clevr advocate".
Ethical investments
Another venture pursued by the couple is with a sustainable investment firm called Ethic.
In 2021, they revealed they have become "impact partners" and investors in the fintech asset manager, which has $1.3billion under management.
It is believed that the couple were introduced to the firm, which only invests in companies that they deem to have acceptable environmental and social goals, by friends. It is unknown how much they have invested or what they are being paid.
A statement from the couple said: "When we invest in each other we change the world…
"Be it through the investment of time (as with mentoring), investment in community (as with volunteering), or the investment of funds (for those who have the means to), our choices—of how and where we put our energy—define us as a global community.
"We believe it’s time for more people to have a seat at the table when decisions are made that impact everyone. We want to rethink the nature of investing to help solve the global issues we all face."
In a joint interview with Harry, Meghan told DealBook : “From the world I come from, you don’t talk about investing, right?”
“You don’t have the luxury to invest. That sounds so fancy.
“My husband has been saying for years, ‘Gosh, don’t you wish there was a place where if your values were aligned like this, you could put your money to that same sort of thing?'”
Meghan's fashion partnership
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Meghan could be about to sign a big money deal with Dior.
The French fashion house already has celebrities including Rihanna and Jennifer Lawrence on its books and earlier this year Johnny Depp signed a fragrance deal worth upwards of $20million.
Now Meghan could be about to join the well-paid bunch as she's proved her credentials as a loyal fan of Dior over the years.
