Prince Harry and Meghan Markle remain barred from using their royal titles, according to a letter sent this week on behalf of King Charles confirming that the terms of the couple's 2020 exit deal remain firmly in place.
The letter, sent by the Lord Chamberlain on Monday, was circulated to royal, government and military officials, as well as Lord Lieutenants, across the United Kingdom. It explicitly describes the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as 'private citizens' and confirms that restrictions on their use of HRH titles continue to stand, more than five years after they stepped back from frontline royal duties.
