Harry and Meghan hosted an evening in Los Angeles dedicated to art and philanthropy and made it a family affair by bringing her mother with them.
Doria Ragland posed for a picture with another famous parent – Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles – at the Kinsey Collection Exhibition at Hollywood Park.
The event was in honour of the Kinsey Family who own the largest private collection of African-American art and historical artifacts and Harry and Meghan joined the family and other special guests on a tour of the show.
The collection has been shown around the world and includes paintings, sculptures, books and letters telling the story of African-Americans from the 17th century to the present day.
At the same time new pictures were also released showing Meghan visiting the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles where she met young patients and their families and took part in a story time session.
It comes amid speculation Harry may return to the UK for another visit to see his father who is being treated for cancer.
The King made his first significant public appearance since his diagnosis at the weekend when he smiled and waved at crowds as he arrived for the annual Easter Mattins Service at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Sunday morning.
He was joined by the Queen and other members of the royal family including the Princess Royal and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York.
Kate, the Prince of Wales and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who all attended the service last year, were absent from the Easter Sunday service as they come to terms with Kate’s cancer diagnosis and treatment.
