As Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz prepare to visit Wisconsin, the campaign is emphasizing its strong organizing infrastructure and the impact of Harris' accomplishments on Wisconsin voters.
In a recent memo, the Harris campaign's Wisconsin state communications director highlighted the surge in volunteer signups since Harris became the presidential candidate. The campaign has witnessed a significant increase in engagement, with over 600,000 door knocks and phone calls made by Democrats in Wisconsin. This outreach effort has been supported by a team of more than 170 staff members working in the state.
The memo also pointed out the positive effects of economic and criminal justice policies implemented by the Biden administration on Wisconsin residents. Specifically, the approval of additional funds to bolster local police forces, enabling them to hire more officers and respond to a higher volume of 911 calls, was highlighted as a significant achievement.
Concluding the memo, Johnson contrasted Harris' platform with that of former President Trump, whom the campaign referred to as 'a convicted felon' who would hinder progress and increase costs for working families if elected.
