West Ham boss David Moyes says playing on Thursday and Sunday is 'hard to do' ahead of this weekend's Premier League clash with Everton.
The London club were in Europa Conference League action on Thursday night as they edged past Danish side Silkeborg 3-2. While some group stage matches in the competition get underway at 5:45pm, last night's match in Denmark was scheduled for an 8pm kick-off.
West Ham stayed in Denmark overnight and will train on Friday before returning to England and making the trip to Merseyside. Moyes says an earlier kick-off time would have helped his squad in their preparations and admits the quick turn around is a 'hard thing to do'.

"I've said it in one of our press conferences that our other games last season were six o’clock kick-offs last year, which was great because it meant that we could try and get back to the UK roughly around about midnight," he told West Ham's official website. "But obviously when you're playing this late, it makes it really difficult.
"So, I don't want to keep talking about it, but Thursday/Sunday football is a hard thing to do. We played a Saturday game a few weeks ago and it felt really strange, so Thursday/Sunday at the moment feels the norm."
Frank Lampard 's side, on the other hand, haven't played since the 0-0 draw against Liverpool on September 3. Last weekend's trip to face Arsenal was postponed following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, meaning Everton have had just over two weeks in between matches.
West Ham have played twice in that time with their opening two Europa Conference League group stage matches. They beat Romanian side FCSB last week before the trip to Denmark on Thursday and they currently sit top of group B with six points from a possible six.
