The Mirror shines a light on Happy Valley superfan David Chipakupaku’s theory for the final. Writing on Twitter, he began: "++ Potential #HappyValley Spoilers! ++ Has the ending been staring us in the face all along?

"This is the artwork for series three, which was released more than a month ago. You can see the road bike Tommy uses circled (crassly) in red. And then, in blue…a massive fire …"

Intrigued, one of his followers asked: "But what’s on fire??????" David replied: "That’s my question! Is it a house, in which case, does Tommy try to burn [Nevison Gallagher's] castle down? Or maybe he sets light to Catherine’s place cos he can’t get a gun?"

"I reckon it’s Nev’s and I have my suspicions about Neil too," one follower agreed in response to David. Find out if he’s right in Happy Valley’s series final at 9pm on Sunday, February 5. For more TV and showbiz stories, subscribe to our newsletter here.
