Happy Valley fans have been heavily invested in the final series of the popular crime drama, turning armchair detectives as they tried to work out what twists and turns would be coming. But as the finale came to an explosive end that pleased most, some pointed out a major flaw.
What were the police not watching the one house killer Tommy Lee Royce was going to be drawn to and why did it take them so long to get there when the alarm was raised?
Tommy used a brick to break in through a basement window at the front of Catherine's Hebden Bridge home, in full view of the street. Catherine and her family had been warned not to go near the house, not even to collect any valuables.

But some viewers have questioned why police were not watching the house, where Tommy and Catherine ended up having a dramatic confrontation over the kitchen table.
There was a lot of praise with one fan saying on Twitter: "The ending that no-one suspected but was SO much better than anyone predicted. Heart-stoppingly-good television with a fantastic cast and peerless writing."
Piers Morgan said: "Brilliant conclusion to a wonderful TV show. Superb acting, incredible writing, terrific suspense. Sarah Lancashire & James Norton both magnificent. British TV drama at its gritty, witty, brilliant best."
But some have questioned why police were not watching Catherine's home as it was an obvious place for the convicted killer to visit.
Lydia Stephens said: "Surely they would have someone watching Catherine’s house in case Tommy did this? Lol I don’t buy it."
Others said they were screaming at the television telling her not to go in without back up and asking why it took so long for the police to get there.
Thanks to James Ball, who obviously has some local knowledge, we have the answer. He wrote on Twitter: "My feed is full of #happyvalley viewers wondering why the police are taking so long. The answer: the nearest stations are Todmorden and Halifax and the road to Calder Valley is a *nightmare*. (Single lane each way, loads of traffic, huge roadworks). V realistic!"
