Diwali is right around the corner but people in the entire country are already at the top of their festive spirits. After celebrating Navratri and Dussehra, everyone is eagerly waiting for the joyous day to come. While Diwali is technically a one-day festival, the spirit of Diwali and of celebration lasts almost an entire month – weeks before and after the date of Diwali.
People clean their houses way back, decorate their homes with lights, make rangolis in the entrances of their homes, buy new clothes, sweets and gifts for themselves and their loved ones. Diwali also prepares us for the upcoming winter season and the end of this year. As we relax and have fun with our friends and family, Diwali time serves as an excellent opportunity to look back on this year and give ourselves a pat on our backs for overcoming the hurdles, and learning lessons from the times we tripped and fell.
