Pratibha Patil, daughter of politician Narayan Rao, was born on December 19, 1934 in Nadgaon village of Bodwad taluka in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra. She completed her primary education from RAR Vidyalaya, Jalgaon and obtained her Bachelor of Law degree from Government Law College, Mumbai. She holds a Master's degree in Political Science and Economics from Moolji Jetha College, Jalgaon.
