Club Brugge midfielder Hans Vanaken has said that he is due to hold talks with West Ham United over a potential summer transfer switch.
The versatile 21-time Belgium international, who turns 30 on Wednesday, was the subject of an opening bid from David Moyes’ side last week that was rejected by the Belgian side, reportedly worth around £8million.
However, a move for Vanaken could still be on the cards and the Club Brugge star, who has played 344 times for the club and scored 102 goals for them in all competitions since joining them in 2015.

Speaking after captaining Brugge in their 2-1 Pro League win over Kortijk on Sunday, Vanaken said that talks between him and the Hammers were due to take place on Monday and that he would like to make the move if possible, citing it might be his "last chance" to do so.
“Clearly there is interest, enough has been written about it,” said Brugge captain Vanaken, as published by the Daily Mail.
“New talks tomorrow and we'll see where it ends. I think it could be my last chance and I want to do it.”
The Hammers have already completed six signings but could be about to make two more, including a move for Vanaken. Football.London understands that talks with Chelsea over the signing of left-back Emerson in a deal worth up to £15m has been agreed and should be completed soon, subject to a medical. It is also understood that while Vanaken has announced that talks are due to take place, no progress has been made at this stage.
West Ham have already made six signings this summer and spent around £110m. The latest of those acquisitions was defender Thilo Kehrer, who joined for £10.1m from Paris Saint-Germain last week, with the 20-time Germany international giving away a penalty on his full debut during the 2-0 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.
