Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri said he is 'honoured' to get the chance to play for Birmingham City after completing his loan move to the Championship club.
The midfielder, who joined United from Monaco in 2019, has linked up with the Midlands outfit on loan for the duration of the 2022/23 campaign. It is the first time that he has left Old Trafford on loan and a full season of regular, first-team football could serve him well.
Following the additions of Christian Eriksen and Casemiro this summer, Hannibal has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag most certainly not light on midfield options.

Hannibal featured twice for United in the Premier League last season, starting the final day defeat to Crystal Palace. However, opportunities were likely to be limited once again this term, meaning a temporary departure should serve him well.
"It is an honour to come and play for this club," Hannibal told Blues TV. "I have heard a lot of good things from my friends who have played here before, so I am ready to come and play for this club."
The Manchester Evening News revealed earlier this month that United had agreed to send Hannibal to Birmingham. The Reds have a good relationship with the Championship club after Tahith Chong spent last season on loan at St Andrew's.
Chong, the Manchester Evening News understands, could seal a return to Birmingham before the transfer window closes on Thursday evening. The Blues are interested in re-signing the Dutchman but nothing is understood to be advanced at this stage.
Birmingham have confirmed that Hannibal has been given the No.6 shirt and, subject to league and FA approval, he could make his debut against Norwich on Tuesday. John Eustace's side are currently 21st in the Championship table after winning just one of their opening six matches this season.
