With the weather steadily improving, more and more Brits are going away on their holidays. For a great deal of them, that means flying.
As most airlines charge extra for hold luggage, it can be helpful to know what you can pack in a carry-on bag. People who travel regularly often have tips for squeezing everything they need into the smallest of bags, but there are a number of things you cannot carry in your hand luggage - or at all when travelling by air.

As many people will be aware, there are restrictions on the amount of liquids you can take in your hand luggage. Liquids include foods such as jam or honey, cosmetics such as mascara or lip gloss, and items such as toothpaste, hair gel and contact lens solution.
If you do take liquids in your hand luggage containers must hold no more than 100ml, the LiverpoolEcho reports. The containers must also be held in a single, clear and resealable bag, which holds no more than a litre in total.
