The Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday announced that their all-rounder Washington Sundar will not be part of the franchise's remainder of the campaign in IPL 2023 because of his hamstring injury.
"Washington Sundar has been ruled out of IPL 2023 due to a hamstring injury. Speedy recovery, Washi," SRH said on Twitter.
In seven matches that the 23-year-old spin-bowling all-rounder has played this season for SRH, he has taken three wickets and scored 60 runs with a highest of 24 not out.
In the last IPL season as well the Tamil Nadu player suffered an injury in the form of a split webbing in his bowling hand.
SRH's campaign is in desperate need of a revival, with the team at No. 9 in the 10-team competition after just two wins in seven matches.
