Staff at a convenience store were "shaken" after a balaclava wearing men threatened them with a hammer and ordered them to get on the floor.
Detectives at Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following the armed robbery in Warrington. The force said at around 10.25pm on Wednesday, March 30, two men entered the Co-Op store on Chapel Lane in Burtonwood.
The pair, one of whom was armed with a hammer, threatened staff and ordered them to get onto the floor. They then stole a quantity of cigarettes and cash from behind the counter before fleeing the scene on foot, travelling down an alleyway opposite.
