It was a busy night for Irish fire brigade services as the usual Halloween antics of bonfires, fireworks, and more caused blazes across the country.
Dublin Fire brigade has been sharing some of the cases they dealt with on the rainy Monday night and even shared an image of two lucky pets who were rescued from a house fire.
Firefighters were called from the Tallaght station to deal with a house fire on the evening of October 31.

They confirmed that the flames started in one of the bedrooms of the home, but it was quickly extinguished by crews in breathing apparatus.
In the midst of battling the blaze, they managed to rescue two adorable dachshund pups and shared an image of the lucky pets after they were brought to safety.
Taking to social media with the image, Dublin Firebrigade confirmed: “Firefighters from Tallaght fire station brought two family pets to safety after they were called to a house fire this evening.
“A bedroom fire was quickly extinguished by crews in breathing apparatus.”
The public has been praising their work with one woman writing “thank you so much” beneath the post, while another said “Super well done DFB.”
There was a major increase in callouts seen across the night compared to Halloween night last year.
On October 31, 2022, Dublin Fire Brigade responded to 234 fire calls - 169 of which were Halloween-related.
The service also attended 357 ambulance calls as the notoriously dangerous night saw many injured.
