Berry expressed her willingness to participate if Reynolds extended an invitation, but she noted that he never followed up on the matter.
In the movie, which premiered on July 26, several iconic characters made appearances, including Jennifer Garner as Elektra and Wesley Snipes as Blade. Channing Tatum also joined the cast as Gambit, despite a standalone Marvel superhero movie for the character not materializing in 2019.
Berry first portrayed Storm in the 'X-Men' franchise in 2000 and continued to bring the character to life in subsequent films like 'X2' and 'X-Men: The Last Stand.' Her last portrayal of Storm was in 2014's 'X-Men: Days of Future Past.'
Director Shawn Levy discussed the star-studded cameos in 'Deadpool & Wolverine' during a podcast episode, but notably did not mention Berry. He clarified that there were no discussions about Taylor Swift playing Dazzler in the film, dispelling previous rumors. Levy also revealed that a joke referencing Jennifer Garner's ex-husband, Ben Affleck, was not vetted by the actor.
