Halle Berry has revealed she is set to tie the knot for a third time.
The Oscar winning actress, 59, has revealed her long-term partner Van Hunt popped the question - and she’s said yes, despite conflicting media reports earlier in the week.
“Well, there's some confusion that he asked to marry me and I said no,” she said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“No, that's not the case. I did not say no. We just don't have a date.”
She then confirmed the happy news, adding: “But of course I said I would marry him! He did put a little ring on it.”
Berry then flashed her engagement ring so viewers could take a look: a huge gold ring, with square diamonds.
The actress made headlines earlier in the week, after she revealed in an interview with The Cut her partner had proposed last year, and she “hadn't said yes”.
“I don't think we need to be married to have a meaningful relationship,” she added. “I don't know if we will ever get married.”
But she said she would make an exception for “health reasons” or being able to make important medical decisions about your spouse.
Last summer, the pair both said the question had been asked - but there was hesitancy as they had both been married.
“I put out the proposal, and it’s still on hold as you can see. It’s just out there floating. You know, maybe you can encourage her!” Hunt said.
“Well, I’ve been married three times,” Berry added.
“Van has been married once, and so no, we don’t feel like we have to get married to validate our love in any way.
“We don’t, I think we will get married just because, out of the people I’ve been married to, this is the person I should have married.”
Berry was previously married to Eric Benet, David Justice and Olivier Martinez, and she has two children, a 17-year-old daughter with her ex Canadian model Gabriel Aubry and a nine-year-old son she shares with French film director Martinez.
Berry and Hunt started dating back in 2020, and it’s thought they were set up during the pandemic.
