
Half of people arrested in London may have undiagnosed ADHD, according to a major new study that is calling for routine neurodivergence screening for vulnerable individuals in police custody.
Researchers at the University of Cambridge found that one in two people detained over an eight-week period in 2024 showed signs of possible undiagnosed ADHD, while one in 20 may have undiagnosed autism.
