Haley Pullos Requests Dismissal Of DUI-Related Civil Lawsuit In LA

Pullos requests dismissal of civil lawsuit related to 2023 DUI arrest.

Haley Pullos has requested the Los Angeles Superior Court to dismiss the civil lawsuit related to her 2023 DUI arrest. The General Hospital actress, aged 25, was involved in a wrong-way crash on the freeway following an alleged hit-and-run incident. Reports indicate that she was unable to exit her vehicle when law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, requiring the Pasadena Fire Department to use the jaws of life to extract her before being taken to the hospital for treatment.

Pullos was charged with a DUI after being arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and driving the wrong way on a freeway. The other driver involved, Courteney Wilder, sustained major injuries and subsequently filed a lawsuit seeking damages in January.

In court documents, Pullos denied the allegations made in Wilder's suit and claimed that any damages were caused by Wilder's own negligent or intentional conduct. She argued that any costs for Wilder's recovery should be reduced based on the contribution of Wilder's conduct to the alleged damages. Pullos also stated that damages were caused by entities outside of her control.

Pullos has requested the court to dismiss Wilder's complaint and cover her legal fees, along with any other relief deemed appropriate. Following the crash, Pullos reportedly entered a rehabilitation treatment facility and announced stepping back from her role on General Hospital to recover.

The L.A. County D.A. emphasized the seriousness of drunk driving, stating that charging Pullos with a felony DUI causing injury highlights the severity of the alleged offense.
