Haldiram's UK has temporarily closed its Leicester Square restaurant in London, just weeks after its high-profile opening attracted long queues and widespread attention. The brand confirmed that the outlet has remained shut since July 21, 2026, due to scheduled electrical works being carried out by UK Power Networks (UKPN).
The official Instagram account, @haldiramsuk.restaurants, updated its bio with the message, "We'll be back soon. Stay tuned!", confirming the temporary closure.
In a statement, the company said the restaurant has been closed because of scheduled UKPN electrical works in the area. It stated that the shutdown was necessary to ensure the safety of staff and customers during the planned power interruption. Haldiram's added that the works are beyond its control and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
