Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) paid the second interim dividend of ₹653.36 crore in 2021-22 to the Union Government.
The dividend cheque was handed over to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh by R. Madhavan, CMD, HAL, and C.B. Ananthakrishnan, Director (Finance), HAL, in the presence of Ajay Kumar, Defence Secretary in Delhi on Tuesday, according to a press release.
The company had declared the second interim dividend of ₹26 per equity share of ₹10 each amounting to ₹869.41 crore on February 10, 2022, in addition to the first interim dividend of ₹14 per equity share of ₹10 each amounting to ₹468.14 crore earlier declared on November 11, 2021, total amounting to ₹1,337.55 crore which included the Centre's share of ₹1,005.17 crore, the release added.
“It is the highest dividend declared by the company after listing of its shares on the stock exchanges and was more than what has been prescribed under DPE guidelines,” said R. Madhavan in the release.
HAL offfcials Sanjay Jaju, Chandraker Bharti, Alok Verma, were also present on the occasion.
