House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries recently commended President Joe Biden for his decision to exit the 2024 presidential race, stating that Biden selflessly passed the torch to Vice President Kamala Harris. Jeffries expressed his confidence in Harris, describing her as a courageous, compassionate, and common-sense leader who is prepared to fight for the American people.
During his remarks, Jeffries lauded President Biden, predicting that he will be remembered as one of the most consequential presidents in history. In contrast, Jeffries criticized former President Donald Trump, likening him to an unwanted ex-partner who refuses to accept the end of a relationship. Jeffries highlighted Trump's policies on taxes and Covid-19, contrasting them with Harris's positions on the economy, immigration, law enforcement, and climate change.
