Hairy Bikers’ Si King ‘finally’ returns to work with Dave Myers after cancer battle

The Hairy BikersSi King says he’s “finally” getting back to work with Dave Myers following Myers’ cancer diagnosis.

The TV star, 65, was diagnosed with the disease last year and underwent gruelling chemotherapy.

But now the pair are set to hit the road to promote a new book they’ve collaborated on.

King, 56, took to his Instagram to make the announcement in a video clip and wrote: “It’s finally here everyone! Our finished copies of Eat Well Every Day are here!

“Filled with stuff you’d want to eat every day of the week! Pre-order your copy now, through the link in our bio, so it lands on your doorstep on publication day!

“Send us your pics with your copies, we’re so excited for you you lot to have them as well!”

Fans took to the comments section to share words of encouragement. One wrote: “Can’t wait to buy a copy and try out the recipes… thanks Si x.”

Another added: “Well done! You’re so inspiring. I’m ordering mine.” While a third commented: “Ordered mine. Looking forward to receiving it xx,” commented a third.

At the beginning of his treatment, Myers lost his hair and signature beard but recently took to social media sporting his full beard again in a snap taken from a night out with his family.

The beard was also on full display in the book promo video as the duo revealed their favourite recipes from the book.

Myers recently told the Seasoned podcast of his arduous cancer treatment: “It’s funny when you first start chemotherapy, it’s quite hard. I’m still having it, it was really brutal.

“I lost so much weight and then it’s a battle to get your calories in.”

He continued: “At first I thought, ‘Right, this is great, I can eat all those pies I haven’t been eating for years’… except [my] appetite was dreadful!

“For me, a glutton, losing my appetite was awful. A can of soup was about as far as I could go.”
