Hairy Bikers' Si King 'finally' gets back to work with Dave Myers amid cancer battle

The Hairy Bikers ' Si King has "finally" been able to share his next career move with Dave Myers following his cancer diagnosis.

The TV star, 65, was diagnosed last year and has since spoke of the terrible toll his chemotherapy treatment has taken on him.

But now, chefs Dave and Si, 56, have announced they have released a book together.

Si was showered with support from his followers as he posted a sweet clip promoting the release.

He wrote: “It’s finally here everyone! Our finished copies of Eat Well Every Day are here!

"Filled with stuff you’d want to eat everyday of the week! Pre-order your copy now, through the link in our bio, so it lands on you doorstep on publication day!

"Send us your pics with your copies, we’re so excited for you you lot to have them as well!”

One fan wrote: "Can't wait to buy a copy and try out the recipes....thanks Si x," with another adding: "Got mine on pre order. Can't wait to try something new."

"Ordered mine. Looking forward to receiving it xx," commented a third.

The duo recently reunited to chat about their new book and seemed happy to be back in each other's company.

After initially starting his treatment, Dave lost his hair and signature beard but recently took to social media to share a snap taken from a night out with his family – sporting his full beard again.

And the beard was on full display in the book promo video as the pair chatted about their favourite recipes from the book, with Dave opting for a lamp kofta, and Si a sweet potato curry.

Speaking on the Seasoned podcast, Dave said of his cancer treatment: "It's funny when you first start chemotherapy, it's quite hard – I'm still having it, it was really brutal.

"I lost so much weight and then it's a battle to get your calories in."

He went on to say: "At first I thought, 'Right, this is great, I can eat all those pies I haven't been eating for years', except [my] appetite was dreadful!

"For me, a glutton, losing my appetite was awful, a can of soup was about as far as I could go.

Speaking on the How To Be 60 podcast, Dave said he has "no symptoms" of his cancer and was merely just affected by the chemotherapy.
