Hairy Bikers' Dave Myers was delighted to be back on TV seven months after revealing his cancer diagnosis.
In May, the 65-year-old revealed he hadn't been 'too well' and shared the devastating news with his fans. Dave hasn't disclosed the type of cancer he was diagnosed with but underwent chemotherapy and vowed to beat it.
And now, seven months on, the Hairy Bikers duo appeared on Saturday Kitchen for a cooking segment.
The star rocked short hair and wore a glorious red waistcoat over a grey T-shirt as he celebrated his on-screen return.
He told host Matt Tebutt: "It's fantastic to be back and what a way to celebrate Christmas here.
"We're going to be doing a coffee and hazelnut cake, it's a symphony where nuts meet coffee."
He added: "It has been a rough year, I can't pretend otherwise, and there were some times when I didn't think I would be here for Christmas. I've got to give a shout out to the doctors and nurses in Birmingham who put me back together, the surgeon who got me walking again and nurse Marion who, before my chemo, brings me cake in.
"Best banana bread ever. But it is lovely to be back. Si's been looking after me, filling my freezer with mince and dumplings.
"Being back on Saturday Kitchen is great. I think the first time we were here was 15 years ago."
In October, Dave revealed getting the all-clear from his cancer would be "life changing" for him.
He told The Guardian: "I'll feel I've made it when I get the all-clear from this b***dy cancer. That's going to be completely life-changing, life-affirming. And life never will be the same again."
Dave also explained why he had chosen not to share the type of cancer he was diagnosed with as he said: "Because everybody then goes googling, everybody becomes an amateur doctor... And I don't want to be judged – yet."
The chef spoke about his illness with long-time pal and cooking partner Si King, on their podcast earlier this year.
He said: "I maybe a baldy biker for a while… it's simply something I have to live with."

Dave continued: "Anyway Kingy, I've got to come clean now, I haven't been too well recently and basically, I've got to have some chemo, you know all this anyway, so this year is going to be a bit quiet for me, I'm not going to be filming, some of the festivals I'm not going to be able to go to, some may be okay but this year's a bit of a write off for us."
The TV star added that the prognosis is OK – and that he is going to be fine, as he reassured fans.
He added: "I have had to speak up about this because I don't want to hide under a rock, but I would love it if people respected my privacy and just let me get on with it and give Si and our team all the support they need, that would be great. But look, the prognosis is okay, I'm going to be fine."
Dave concluded: "I've just got to tuck in, look after myself, eat sensibly and get over this mess, flog books, and be a happy person so within that, that's where I am."
