The monsoon season in India, which typically lasts from June to September across all parts of the country, is heralded by an intense period of incessant rains, thunderstorms and lots of lightning. This rainy period results in an increase in the relative humidity of the air, which causes undesirable effects on our hair. The air is loaded with a lot of humidity during the rainy season and when it reacts with the chemical bonds found in hair strands, it makes it dull and frizzy.
Another factor that causes an increase in hair frizz is the lack of hydration, as when the hair is dry, it tends to absorb more moisture from the environment. Therefore, if hair strand is full of good nutrients and well hydrated, the water content present in it will be in balance and, consequently, they become less sensitive to the variation of humidity in the environment.
