Hailey Bieber has said she is “doing OK” as she discussed the recent health scares both she and her husband Justin Bieber have been through.
The 25-year-old model, who underwent heart surgery a few months ago, shared a personal update with Jimmy Fallon after what she referred to as a “weird turn of events.”
During this week’s episode of Jimmy Fallon’s talk show, Hailey Bieber explained she was feeling a lot better and that it had encouraged the couple to have some “important conversations”.
“I feel a lot better after that situation, I feel good. You know I had a procedure done to close this hole in my heart,” she said.
“And I’m just giving my body the time to heal and recover. It was a little hard for me to recover from the procedure, just giving myself the time to be able to work out again and feel like normal if that makes sense, but I am doing well now. I’m not having to be on any medication anymore so I feel good.”
Hailey Bieber also revealed her husband is also doing well as he continues his recovery from Ramsay Hunt syndrome.
“He’s also doing okay,” she added. “Obviously, it’s been a weird turn of events the last couple of months and even the last few days.”
Reflecting upon how they both handled undergoing health scares within a matter of months, Hailey Bieber admitted it had forced the couple to be upfront to each other and share “important conversations.”
She revealed she had suffered a mini-stroke in March 2022 and doctors later diagnosed her with grade-five patent foramen ovale (PFO).
Earlier this week, her husband announced he would be postponing his tour after suffering from a rare disorder that caused paralysis in his face.
Justin Bieber then told fans on social media that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome but he said he was feeling positive about making a quick recovery.
“For those frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, I’m just physically, obviously not capable of doing them,” he explained on video.
“My body’s telling me I’ve got to slow down. I hope you guys understand.”
