GHEORGHE HAGI has revealed he will be coming to watch son Ianis at Rangers over the festive period and insisted he's happier than ever.

The Romanian international's career has been resurrected at Ibrox after a contract dispute was resolved and he's become a key player for manager Philippe Clement.

And former Real Madrid and Barcelona icon Hagi will be over in Scotland to watch his son during the holidays.

Hagi said: "I'm going over to Scotland soon.

"I will go and stay with Ianis.

"I know he is very happy at the moment with the situation at Rangers.

"He's worked very hard - because he's a boy who dedicated himself to football.

"And football has rewarded him too.

"So I know he is very content where he is at the moment and he is in a good place. I am looking forward to watching him in action again."

The 26-year-old has made seven appearances for Rangers so far this term but has yet to open his account for the season.
