At long last, Hades 2 is officially out in the wild and is already raking in a ton of praise. The full v1.0 release date was first announced during a Nintendo Direct showcase, and following more than a year in Early Access, Switch and Switch 2 players can now get their hands on the full new game. And trust us, Nintendo fans are having a blast already because the long-awaited title is easily one of the best roguelikes that we've seen in a while.
However, Hades 2's launch isn't super straightforward. Much like the first Hades game, Hades 2 will be a Switch exclusive (despite it still being in Early Access on PC). PS5 and Xbox Series X players needn't fret either, since Hades 2 should have a limited period of Switch console exclusivity, so patience will be necessary! It may be annoying to have to wait for your preferred platform, but this is the sequel to one of the best games ever made. It also has everything you loved about Hades - dynamic roguelike action, a drip-fed narrative crammed with Greek mythology-tinged family drama, and a belter soundtrack - only this time, we're playing as Princess of the Underworld, Melinoe.
