A fever, cough and body ache can easily look like an ordinary seasonal illness. But when H1N1 cases begin rising across Delhi, one question naturally comes to mind: Is this something to fear?
The answer is more reassuring than the headlines may suggest. Health authorities have said that no new H1N1 strain has been identified and that the influenza viruses currently circulating are well matched with the vaccine strains recommended for the Northern Hemisphere. Still, rising cases are a reminder that seasonal flu should not simply be ignored.
