The Harrods beauty store will be bringing a party atmosphere to Gateshead Metrocentre this weekend with a carnival event that will see top make-up artists and brands offer make-up sessions.
Among those set to have the makeover treatment during what's described as a "buzzy, beauty-themed carnival" at H Beauty will be former Gogglebox star and I'm A Celebrity winner Scarlett Moffatt who will be in the hands of celebrity make-up artist Lo Dias at 1pm on Saturday. Another make-up artist, Chiara Aprea, also will be paying a special visit to the store - which opened at the Gateshead shopping centre this summer - with a masterclass on offer at 2pm featuring eyeshadow looks using Huda Beauty products.
Tickets to the event are free to anyone signing up to MyBeauty, part of Harrods' loyalty rewards scheme, and guests can expect live performers and carnival-themed takeovers of the store's Champagne Bar. The event will run on both Saturday and Sunday and this will kick off a tour of the special weekender which will visit all H Beauty stores across the country until November 6.

Besides masterclasses - such as a Charlotte Tilbury Holiday Masterclass at 11am on Saturday and Vida Glow at noon on Sunday - plus appearances by some of the top names in the beauty business, there will be prizes available to win from a beauty vending machine and an opportunity to 'build-your-own-goody bags' for those spending £50 in-store.
And H Beauty says that the first 500 people each day can bag themselves some beauty merchandise. There also will be free styling on offer at the Drybar; facials with Fresh at the Skincare Stations and Dior micro-peeling facials. H Beauty opened in the Lower Town Square of the Metrocentre in June with a focus upon iconic beauty brands.
These will be showcased during the event and other masterclasses on offer on Saturday will include Ordinary Essentials, Dior and 'Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Fragrance Wardrobing' while Sunday's sessions - ranging from brows and eyes to complexion - will include Anastasia Beverly Hills; Elemis and Estée Lauder.
Mia Collins, head of beauty at Harrods, said the idea of its first carnival is to celebrate the launch of MyBeauty, adding: "We can’t wait to bring an array of beauty-themed fun to our beauty communities across the UK, including live masterclasses, complimentary hair styling and flash facials, plus opportunities to win incredible beauty prizes from our fabulous H beauty vending machine."
Booking for the weekend is essential and for tickets, more about MyBeauty and full timings of all the available classes see here. Places will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
