More than 7,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the UK ever year.
More common in over 50s, it is the sixth most common female cancer and anyone can get it.
According to Cancer Research UK, there are risk factors associated with the condition, including smoking and medical conditions such as endometriosis as well as diabetes. And the biggest problem in treating it is late diagnosis.
