KOLKATA: Dipa Karmakar’s long-awaited return to competitive gymnastics after a long gap isn’t likely to be a dream one as she is not fully fit.
Karmakar, who became a household name after her fourth-place finish on the vaults in Rio Olympics, will take part in the selection trials for Asian Games in Bhubaneswar on July 11-12. She will naturally be the centre of attention at Gymnastics Centre of Kalinga Stadium as she makes a comeback after serving a 21-month ban for doping violations, which ended on July 10.
