The Gurugram Traffic Police has impounded a Toyota Fortuner after finding unpaid traffic fines amounting to Rs 83,500, officials said on Saturday.
The action was taken as part of ongoing special enforcement drives conducted by the city traffic police against motorists violating traffic regulations. Under Section 167(8) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, vehicles with traffic challans pending for more than 90 days and unpaid fines are liable for action during inspections.
