Gurugram communal violence: Over 200 Muslim families flee amid threat calls

The violence in Nuh has spilled over into several areas of Gurugram, with attacks on many commercial properties and over 200 Muslim families forced to leave home amid threats.

While 14 families have fled Badshahpur, nearly 200 families have been forced to leave slums in Sector 70 – most of them migrant workers from West Bengal and Jharkhand.

Zarina, who was employed as a domestic worker at apartments in the vicinity, said her family has been compelled to leave due to threats from locals. “They are threatening to kill us and set our home on fire if we don’t leave.”

Newslaundry also received threats on the ground from miscreants, who forced this reporter to stop recording.
