Gun’s guitarist has told how he snogged Pamela Anderson after an awards ceremony while her husband Tommy Lee was
in a hotel room upstairs.
The Glasgow rockers had picked up an MTV EMA award for their hit Word Up! in Berlin in 1994 after it reached the UK top 10.
Giuliano ‘Jools’ Gizzi revealed how he invited the Baywatch star to party with them but she refused.
He said: “When we got back to the hotel Pamela Anderson was downstairs.
“She was sitting at the bar, she heard my accent, and she was talking away and asked what we were doing.
“I told her how happy we were with the award for Word Up! And she said, ‘What a cool song. Amazing. I love your version. I love your accent.’
“And we were getting that kind of close where the noses and the mouths were almost touching, so I just went that wee bit forward and stuck the lips on her.
“Absolutely, I did – and she snogged me back.”
But his attempts to seduce the 90s actress failed.
He added: “I said, ‘What’s happening? Let’s go party’,” and she said, ‘Oh Tommy is upstairs’.”
His brother, singer Dante, revealed Pamela’s passion for the band didn’t stop there.
Dante, who is looking forward to seven new acoustic dates and a tour with his band in coming months, added: “She did a movie called Barbed Wire and there’s this dream sequence where she’s on a swing.
“It looks like she’s in a circus on a trampoline or something and our version of Word Up! is in the movie.”
The band have just released a new Summer Jam edition of Word Up!
