Gulshan Grover talks about how his 'Bad Man' image affected his personal life; reveals his kids had a tough time in school

Gulshan Grover, who has created a brand called ‘Bad Man’ in Bollywood, recently opened up about how his onscreen negative characters affected his personal life and his kids.

"Every day, everywhere, especially girls and advertising... Advertising never considered bad guys to be able to endorse the brand although it is considered to have some of the most progressive minds." Sharing how people reacted to villains having girlfriends, he said, "If somebody did have a relationship with someone who was 'bad', their friends would tease them, 'Tumko yahi mila hai, gunda, badmaash?' Then the families also, the kids in school had a little tough time,” Grover told Times Now Digital.

Now, the ace actor feels that electronic media has resolved a large part of the problem as fans now get to know the actors' real nature. He said, "When they see me, the Bad Man, at a party, and a heroine is coming to hug, she gives a peck, holds hands and goes 'Sir, I've missed you. Sir, where have you been?' They say, 'Yeh bhaag kyun nahi rahi hai iske paas se aur yeh iske kapde q nahi phaad raha hai?' Yeh to yaar affectionately usko gale lagayi jaarahi hai'."

"Ki yaar yeh ro thodi rahi hai, yeh shaam ko isi gunde ke sath chali jayegi, iski toh dosti hai iske sath.' They understand that it is only a character on screen. But has it completely disappeared? It will never, and we don't want to disappear,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Gulshan will next be seen in ‘Indian 2’ which stars Kamal Haasan in the lead role.
