VADODARA: A major derailment of a goods train near Mangal Mahudi railway station in Dahod district threw railway traffic towards Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and other states via Vadodara out of gear on Monday. A pileup of goods coaches took place at the site after the derailment that took place after Sunday midnight.
Sixteen coaches of the goods train were derailed after it crossed Mangal Mahudi. The coaches fell on both the up and down tracks. Some coaches even piled up on each other. By Monday evening, the railways had diverted 51 trains and cancelled 38 others.
