Gujarat postal employee found dead in 1,700-foot cliff, police probe 13-minute video over matrimonial dispute

A Gujarat postal department employee allegedly died by suicide after jumping from Konkankada cliff at Harishchandragad on October 12. Before the incident, he reportedly recorded a 13-minute video describing the distress he faced over a matrimonial dispute and appealing for changes to the way laws related to such cases are implemented.

Vishwaraj Gohil, who lived in Chitra, Bhavnagar, and originally belonged to Rajpara in Gujarat, allegedly jumped into a gorge nearly 1,700 feet deep. The cliff is situated near the borders of Thane, Pune and Ahilyanagar districts.
