GANDHINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India’s fintech endeavor is truly a solution by the people, of the people, for the people. He said that GIFT City in Gandhinagar will soon be the pride of India as far as fintech, data security, and finance are concerned.
“The technology is India’s own; so it is by the people,” Modi said. “The people of the country have made it a part of their lives; that is, of the people. Transactions are easy; so the solution is for the people.” He said that 40% of global digital transactions take place in India. “There is scale, security, and democratic values in our digital solutions,” he said.
Modi added: “Mark my words. You can refer to my speeches way back in 2005 or 2006. Everything I said about what we envisaged at GIFT City is now taking shape.” He went on to say: “In the coming days, GIFT City will be India’s pride in the area of fintech, data security, and finance.”
