AHMEDABAD: The insurance companies have been dragging their feet when it comes to reimburse the Mediclaim to policy holders for Covid-19 treatment and come up with various excuses.
While insurers refused claims for Covid treatment for hospitalisation on the ground that the patients had mild symptoms and that their hospitalisation was unnecessary, and they could have taken treatment at home, one patient was denied claim for taking treatment during home isolation and the insurer raised objection on the ground that he was not hospitalised.
