Gugu Mbatha-Raw has expressed her admiration for the female police officers she met whilst preparing for her role in Fuze.
Speaking to The Independent at the London premiere on Thursday (26 March), the actor, who plays Chief Superintendent Zuzana, said that she believes the job is “incredibly difficult”.
“I think a lot of them have had to deal with a lot of misogyny, sexism, racism in the workplace, and are still really dedicated to serving the community.”
Mbatha-Raw said she came away from the project with a “huge respect” for female officers. “It’s not easy.”
Fuze is set to arrive in cinemas on 3 April 2026.
