From April 27-29, Viu restaurant at St. Regis Bangkok will feature a very special series of dinners by guest chefs Hyungkyu Jun and Davide Cardellini from Gucci Osteria Seoul, South Korea.
Established in 2018 in Florence, Italy, Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura is a contemporary Italian restaurant brand that draws inspiration from two of Italy's most celebrated and original creative masters: Gucci fashion house and Massimo Bottura, the chef-patron of three Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana.
The Seoul edition, which opened a year ago in Itaewon District, is the brand's third global outlet following the opening of venues in Los Angeles and Tokyo.
Redefining the traditional and recognisable flavours of Italian cuisine through Asian ingredient enhancements and innovative techniques, the Seoul Osteria is where European and Korean culinary finesses intertwine.
For the first time ever in Thailand, a Gucci Osteria Seoul pop-up experience will be showcased with presentation of a six-course dinner, priced at 5,100 baht per person for food only and 7,800 baht including pairing wines.
The epicurean journey starts with Black Pearl Garden featuring kaebia, a highly prized Korean caviar, followed by Gambero Scapece, a contemporary spin on gamberi crayfish in salsa rosa. Next up is Kimchi Chronicles inspired by classic radicchio risotto and Korean fermentation traditions.
The fourth course, Fallen Leaves in the Ocean, is a contemporary take on an Italian-style potato-crusted fish dish, pesce in crosta di patate.
For the main course it's Rosso e Nero, a hashed tenderloin dish inspired by The Godfather trilogy.
At every Gucci Osteria there's always a specially crafted chocolate creation on offer, and there's no exception here. For this special pop-up experience, another menu highlight is Viagggio Universale di Charley, which was originally created for the 2022 Gucci fashion show Cosmogonie.
The Gucci Osteria Seoul six-course experience is presented from 6pm to 10.30pm at Viu restaurant. Reservations are highly recommended.
