Kukur Pujua, a special five-day festival celebrating dogs is taking place in Nepal.People worship and celebrate canines of all breeds as part of the Tihar festival, also called Diwali.Footage shows dogs being honoured with garlands.Staff at a Nepal canine centre can also be seen worshipping guard dogs and performing tricks with them through a fire stick.In the Hindu-majority country of Nepal, dogs are considered as messengers of the God of death, and these rituals are believed to please him.
