Legendary Rockstar Games producer says the games industry needs to work smarter, not harder, if it wants to continue to thrive.
The industry is going through a bit of a rough spot at the moment, with prominent studios like Monolith Productions and Arkane Austin being shut over the past year and even more facing layoffs, like Bungie and Rocksteady. Even a game as monumentally successful as Marvel Rivals ended up with layoffs to its US staff. Many are hoping that the release of GTA 6 will lead to the gaming market growing again and help get people back into industry jobs. While not involved in the upcoming game, Rockstar veteran Leslie Benzies has his own advice for the industry.
